Sophie was an amazing main character and I loved how she had flaws and she wasn’t just automatically this kick-ass heroine. Luca is still my favourite, followed by Millie. Sometimes it was harder to keep a hold of who everyone was (but that was mainly my fault for not re-reading the other two before this one so my memory was slightly hazy) but the main characters were always memorable. If I was able to even put the book down for one minute then I would have put tabs on every other page for the stunning writing.ĭespite the intriguing plot and beautiful writing, the best thing about this book and the whole trilogy is the wide range of characters. A vast majority of the sentences felt poetic and they were beautiful. Everytime that I told myself only one more chapter, a new development in the story would happen and I just couldn’t let go of the book. There was plot twist after plot twist after plot twist after plot twist. Within less than 24 hours, I was finished and I was an emotional mess.Ĭatherine Doyle has this insane ability to take a hold of my heart and give it as much pain as possible in one book.
